JLT is one of the first laboratories in the country to perform testing on geosynthetics. This laboratory performed much of the original research testing on geomembranes, geonets and geosynthetic clay liners. We developed the equipment and performed the first transmissivity tests on geonets about 6 years before the ASTM Standard was developed. With the equipment to perform over 65 geosynthetics tests per ASTM and GRI standards, JLT performs physical and engineering property tests on geomembranes, geotextiles, geonets, geocomposites, geogrids and GCL’s.
Testing includes both design related tests, conformance tests and QA/QC testing. Noted equipment includes nine (9) tensile units, three (3) interface shear units, permittivity, gradient ratio, hydraulic conductivity ratio and four (4) transmissivity units with a maximum load capacity of 50,000 psf. We have capabilities to perform EPA 9090 ( ASTM D-5167) tests on geomembranes, geotextiles and other materials.
